Last Saturday in Balboa Park, San Diego, AntiQuark contributed in the organization of a Vigil to help the Tibetan cause.

Events
The vigil will include singing the Tibetan national anthem, chanting, brief presentations on the situation in Tibet, and action alerts.

A Colorful Gathering
Tibetans and their supporters in the San Diego community will be present in national dress, with Tibetan flags, prayer flags, and other symbols of Tibet’s unique national and cultural heritage.

Background
For almost 50 years, Tibetans have undergone untold suffering in their quest for human rights, religious rights, and self-determination. A massive influx of Chinese military is under way, and unknown numbers are wounded or dead or incarcerated and undergoing torture. We wish to stand in solidarity with them and provide attendees with information about public officials to contact to press for government action to end repression in Tibet.

Around the world, the online community is getting on board to support H.H Dalai Lama’s call for restraint and dialogue.
